THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, MISERY INDEX, ENSIFERUM To Perform At HELSINKI METAL MEETING
November 14, 2008THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, ANDRÉ MATOS (ex-ANGRA, SHAAMAN),MISERY INDEX, BEFORE THE DAWN and ENSIFERUM are among the scheduled performers at the fifth annual Finnish Metal Expo, which will be held February 12-14, 2009 in Helsinki.
Celebrating five years of existence, the Finnish Metal Expo expands from its original location of Cable Factory to central club venues of Tavastia Club and Dante's Highlight. From now on, the entity will be known as Helsinki Metal Meeting, of which the Finnish Metal Expo is a part. Main focus will remain on the Finnish Metal Expo at the Cable Factory on February 13-14 where more than 50 exhibitors showcase their latest products and services and the hottest metal acts perform.
The live performances will be provided by international names such as THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, ANDRÉ MATOS, MISERY INDEX, GRAND MAGUS and LEGION OF THE DAMNED. Finnish prowess is well represented by the likes of ANCARA, BEFORE THE DAWN, ENSIFERUM, GRENDEL, MEDEIA and PROFANE OMEN. More additions to the Cable Factory program will be announced later.
On Friday, February 13, the Finnish Metal Awards will reward the best of Finnish metal in 2008. Cast your vote at this location starting on December 1. If you're a fan of Finnish metal, make your vote count.
In addition to the consumer aspect of the event, the Helsinki Metal Meeting gathers the metal industry people from Finland and abroad. The professional meeting within the Helsinki Metal Meeting has established itself as a major annual get-together for the metal music industry.
Tickets for the Cable Factory event will go on sale through wwww.tiketti.fi and www.lippupalvelu.fi. Both one- and two-day tickets are available. Tickets for Friday cost 25 euros and for Saturday 27 euros. Two-day tickets cost 45 euros.
